Essential Wellcare is a primary care clinic located in Carencro, Louisiana. The clinic offers a wide range of primary care services. Our mission is to bridge the gap in healthcare and decrease the health disparity by providing affordable, convenient, and quality care for individuals and their families. The clinic focuses on primary prevention through screening and counseling. We offer in-clinic or telehealth services. Everyone deserves quality, compassionate care. Our board-certified practitioners are trained and ready to help you with your healthcare needs. 

Sherelle Sion Pickney is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Essential Wellcare, LLC. She is passionate about providing personal, individualized care to her patients. Her focus is on primary prevention and connecting patients with other medical providers based on their healthcare needs. 

Sherelle is a lifelong resident of Carencro, Louisiana. She graduated from T.H. Harris Technical College (Diploma of Practical Nursing) in 2001, University of Louisiana at Lafayette (BSN in Science of Nursing) in 2004, Southern A & M University (Master of Nursing Education) in 2016, and in 2021 received a Post-Master's Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Northwestern State University. She has 23 years of experience in healthcare, as well as 2 years of urgent care experience as a nurse practitioner.
